This forum will gather top experts, scholars, and industry leaders from across the globe, focusing on the cutting-edge fields of new fiber materials to carry out in-depth discussions on the latest research progress in high-performance fibers and composite materials, smart fibers and wearable technology, energy fibers and low-carbon technology, biomedical fibers and precision medicine, flexible electronics and optoelectronic functional fibers, special fibers for extreme environments, green sustainable fibers, and intelligent manufacturing of fiber materials, as well as their front-line applications in aerospace, new energy, environmental governance, smart wearables, life and health, and other fields. In recent years, as countries around the world successively incorporates high-performance fibers, smart fibers, biomedical fibers and other new materials into their national strategic plans and accelerates their investment in scientific research and industrial layout, China has also positioned new fiber materials as a key strategic emerging industry for development and remarkable results have been achieved in key technology breakthroughs, industry chain improvement and expansion of application scenarios, powered by favorable policies and collaborative innovation between industry, academia, and research. Meanwhile, as the "Carbon Peaking and Carbon Neutrality' goals roll out, the artificial intelligence and smart manufacturing technology integrate more deeply, and people's demand for high-quality living and healthcare goes up, new requirements and opportunities for the development of green, intelligent and functional new fiber materials are created as well.

After four sessions' exploration, the "Frontier Forum on Novel Fiber Materials and Applications" has become a top platform that gathers global minds and drives technological innovation to continuously promote the industry to new heights. Standing at a new starting point in history, the 5th Frontier Forum on New Fiber Materials and Applications will grandly open from October 22 to 24, 2025 (sign-in on October 21-22) in Suzhou! This forum, themed "Advanced Fibers, Interlinked Future," sincerely invites global research luminaries, industry pioneers, and industry elites to gather in Suzhou to jointly tackle technical bottlenecks, tap into the innovative potential of transdisciplinary convergence and build a deeply collaborative ecosystem among industry, academia and research to energize the high-quality development of new fiber materials, and jointly lead the global fiber materials industry towards a broader future! To stimulate the enthusiasm of graduate students for scientific research and promote academic exchanges, several "Outstanding Poster Awards" will be selected at the Forum. Dr. Hao Bai is currently a professor at the College of Chemical and Biological Engineering, Zhejiang University. He received his B.S. degree from Department of Polymer Science and Engineering, Zhejiang University (2006), and his Ph.D. degree in physical chemistry from National Center for Nanoscience and Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (2012). He joined Zhejiang University in 2015, after completed his postdoctoral research at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. His main research interests are focused on bioinspired engineering of smart materials and systems with multiscale architecture and multifunctionality, including biomimetic cellular materials, composites, multifunctional polymer, fibers, surface wetting, tissue engineering, etc.

Wang Shihua, born in April 1968, Doctor of Engineering, researcher level senior engineer, is the chairman of Jiangsu Aoshen Hi-Tech Materials Co. He is employed as an industrial professor and external tutor in Donghua University and other universities. He was awarded the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress in 2016.
He is mainly engaged in the R&D and production of high-performance polyimide fiber and its products.
